Laser Created Edible Tag on Bread

Researchers at Rice University used laser to generate conductive patterns of graphene on bread surface based on a phenomenon called laser induced graphene. This method may eventually lead to radio-frequency identifier (RFID) that can be produced on each bread to label its origin, production and expiration dates, therefore ensuring its safety and authentication.
